She purchased Meyersdal Optometrist in 2006 and has taken it from a small and struggling practice to one of the most successful and respected practices in the South of Johannesburg. In 2013 she was approached by Carl Zeiss Vision to open and run a highly exclusive Zeiss Retail Experience Store which she opened under the name of ModernEyes Optometrists in September 2015 in the Mall of the South.
Lauren attends courses and conferences on a regular basis in order to keep up to date with the latest research and developments in the optometric field, and is currently doing an Ocular Diagnostics and Therapeutics course through the Department of Optometry at UJ, which will enable her to play a role in the expansion of the scope of Optometry in South Africa, as soon as the legalities are finalised by Government and the Health Professions Council of South Africa.
Lauren prides herself in providing her patients with professional service, quality eye-care, and high quality branded products that meet international standards. Her practices prioritise putting the patient first through eye-care education and outstanding customer service. Her aim for her practices is to provide superior services and products at very competitive prices, without compromising on either quality or professional standards.
